Description
This course is an introduction to operating systems research and more generally, systems research. After taking this course you should be able to critically read and discuss research papers, identify interesting systems research projects, design a research study to answer a research problem, and present the results of that research through writing and oral presentation. We will work towards those goals by reading and discussing a range of classic and current research papers, attempting to reproduce existing work, and undertaking an original research project.
