A few reminders about your certification exam
12/13/12 - 11:21 PM
Hello Instructors,

Thank you for a great week of Instructor Review Sessions!

Just a few reminders:

1) Tomorrow is our last day of Session 04 – SME sessions. The SDP06 and SDP08 sessions are full but we still have a little bit of room for the SDP05 and SDP07 sessions.

2) For those who missed their SDP06 and SDP08 sessions and are unable to sign up for the ones tomorrow, we have uploaded a video of one of the Q&A sessions for each course into these courses. You will see this on the home page of your course – this will give you a chance to listen to any specific points about a course from the project manager and subject matter expert.

We will be uploading the videos for SDP05 and SDP07 tomorrow afternoon. Even though these will be available, you need to still attend your session if you signed up for one.

3) Lastly, when you take your examination, please note that the system will time out after 2 hours of inactivity. Please make sure you make some type of action in the Moodle system while in your exam to avoid the system timing out.
4) Please take your certification exam by Friday, December 21st.

Good luck on your exams and have a good weekend!

Piazza Do’s and Don’ts
DO….
- Ask any questions related to the course that you’re training in. Asking questions helps clarify your understanding further and others will benefit from it to!
- Be respectful to others and their questions. Questions asked by one participant may be questions that others are too afraid to ask.
- Be clear and concise in what you are asking. Please be as specific as possible to ensure a prompt turn-around time.
- Use complete sentences, proper spelling and grammar when posting your questions/comments.
- Feel free to answer others’ questions before the facilitator in the forum if you know the answer. Collaboration is important and the facilitators review all responses for accuracy.
- Expect questions to be answered within 24-36 hours during the standard business week; 48 hours on weekends and/or US holidays.
- Use Piazza for ALL questions that you are comfortable sharing with other members of your forum. This generates a repository of all frequently asked questions for future reference as needed.

DON’T…
- Assume that a Piazza administrator is all-knowing. Please be as specific as possible. Indicate the project, exercise, and/or reading you are referencing when asking your question(s).
- Ask questions of a personal nature – Piazza is a forum that is accessible by all Mexico faculties participating in this SDP training. For anything not to be shared in the forum, please email sdpsupport@icarnegie.com or mark your posting as 'Private'.
- Be disrespectful in the forums. Please treat everyone with respect – this includes colleagues and Piazza facilitators.
- Use profanities in the forums. This will not be tolerated.
- Be afraid to ask questions. iCarnegie strongly encourages questions for clarity rather than guessing and being wrong.
- Use Piazza for anything more than questions. Any issues with course content, suggestions, etc. should be emailed directly to sdpsupport@icarnegie.com.
Welcome to the SDP08 forum!
11/14/12 - 9:57 AM
Welcome to the SDP 08 Forum! This is your place to ask questions, read others' questions, and use this forum as a knowledgebase for all things SDP08!

Please note that anything of a private nature should be sent to sdpsupport@icarnegie.com OR mark your note as 'Private'. All instructors involved in the SDP 08 training have access to this forum.

Thank you and welcome!
