Jordan Kendall will be holding two final exam review sessions today and tomorrow (Wednesday and Thursday). The dates/times are as follows:

Wednesday, May 4th, 6pm to 7pm in Physics building Room 223.

Thursday, May 5th, 2pm to 3:35pm in Physics building Room 203.

The material will be the same for each review session, so only attending one session will cover everything in the review.

The slides for the review session are now posted on Piazza under Resources -> Resources -> General Resource -> FinalExamReviewSessionSlides.pdf:

Exam 2 Review Session

There will be a review session to help students prepare for Exam 2. The review session will cover Chapters 24 through 27 of the textbook.

The review is scheduled the week after spring break. Two sessions are scheduled to accommodate students that are unable to make it to the Wednesday session. The material covered will be the same at each one.

Review session 1 details:

Date: Wednesday, March 23rd

Time: 5-7 pm

Location: Room PHYS 112

Review session 2 details:

Date: Thursday, March 24th

Time: 5-7 pm

Location: Room PHYS 112

  

The review is optional and ran by a Recitation TA (Jordan Kendall).

 

The slides from the review session will be added to Piazza as a PDF file the day of the review.

Exam 1 Monday February 15, 2016

Exam 1 is on Monday February 15, 2016 in Elliott Hall of Music from 8-10 PM.

The exam covers Chapters 21-23.

Please see the email sent to you on Sunday Februay 7, 2016 for additional information about equation sheets.

No internet-enabled calculators are allowed.  Other calculators and graphing calculators are fine.

Textbook

The textbook for the course is

Physics for Scientists and Engineers, 6th Edition, Volume 2, Tipler and Mosca, Publisher: Bedford, Freeman and Worth, ISBN 1429284587. (Note: Older or used editions are acceptable as all homework is posted on CHIP)

Advice:  Read the assigned sections (see course calendar) in the book prior to attending lecture.

Please register your I-clicker on CHIP (Computerized Homework in Physics) using the following link:

Students in PHYS 241D (online section) do not need I-clickers.
