Sorry to cut so close to the deadline for posting this (today!), but the practice final exam is now posted. Note that we may update some of the wording as we review the actual final exam in more detail.
As usual we
EXTRAORDINARILY STRONGLY recommend working these problems.
You can view the practice exam on the course page:
https://piazza.com/ubc.ca/winterterm12013/cpsc311/resourcesThe actual final exam will be open-book, open-notes with the same rules as previous exams (no electronic devices, only a reasonable amount of paper aides). The exam will have both an individual portion (probably ~75 minutes) and a group portion (probably ~50 minutes).
Your grade will be the maximum of your individual grade and 85% of your individual grade plus 15% of your group grade. HOWEVER, we reserve the right to apply the "you must pass the final to pass the course" requirement to only the individual component.
Based on feedback from the TAs, some clarifications:
- We don't expect you to describe the environments or include any "dashed lines" in the runtime call tree.
- When you circle the continuation of evaluation of an expression in the runtime call tree, circle ALL PARTS OF THE TREE that are in the continuation (but be cautious about parent/ancestor nodes: some may have computation still to perform while others may not!).
