Description

This course will cover fundamental principals of inorganic chemistry, including atomic structure and bonding, symmetry and group theory, molecular orbital theory and reactivity. These concepts will be applied in the context of coordination, organometallic, and bioinorganic chemistries. The accompanying laboratory will cover basic experiments in synthetic inorganic chemistry.

The average overall course grade was 78%. Great job class! I know this class is a lot of work, what with lab reports and my intellectual demands on you. I appreciate all the time and effort you put into the course!

Answers to the ligand substitution and Spring 2016 final exam are posted.

Note that olefin metathesis (including ring opening metathesis) will NOT be covered by this exam (we never talked about it in class). There is one subquestion that asks about it in last semester's final.
